Brad Pitt's Daughter Confirms What We All Suspected!

In a move that has captured significant media attention, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the 18-year-old daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has legally changed her name to Shiloh Jolie, dropping her father's surname. This change was initiated shortly after her 18th birthday in May 2024, with Shiloh independently hiring legal representation to process the petition.

To formalize the name change, Shiloh published a notice in the Los Angeles Times, a standard procedure to inform the public and allow for any objections. The advertisement specified her intent to be known legally as Shiloh Jolie, omitting 'Pitt' from her surname.

This decision aligns with similar actions taken by Shiloh's siblings. In November 2023, their older sister, Zahara, introduced herself as "Zahara Marley Jolie" upon joining the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College, foregoing the hyphenated surname. Additionally, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt was credited as "Vivienne Jolie" in the Playbill for the production of "The Outsiders," which Angelina Jolie produced.

Brad Pitt's reaction to Shiloh's name change has been one of sadness and disappointment. A source close to him revealed that he is "aware and upset" about his daughter's decision, stating, "He loves his children and misses them." This sentiment reflects the ongoing strain in the family's dynamics following the couple's separation in 2016.

The family's complex history, including allegations of abuse and a prolonged divorce settlement finalized in late 2024, has influenced their relationships. Throughout the divorce proceedings, their children have increasingly distanced themselves from Brad Pitt, evident in their preference for Jolie's surname.

In summary, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt's decision to change her name signifies deeper familial shifts and highlights the personal choices of the Jolie-Pitt children as they navigate their identities amidst public scrutiny.
